Could Boozer stay in a Jazz uniform? News Detroit Pistons

A ticket out of town may not be as certain as Carlos Boozer has portrayed it to be in recent days. Utah Jazz GM Kevin O' Connor refuted a statement by Boozer that he and the Jazz had mutually agreed to a trade during an interview with 1320 KFAN on Tuesday afternoon. O'Connor dismissed Boozer's recent assertions that a trade from Utah was imminent, saying that the power forward is committed to a contract and must fulfill it.

"We have not told Carlos that we will trade him," said Jazz player personnel director Kevin O'Connor in a Twitter post by David Locke of KFAN. "We have not mutually agreed to trade him. We are here to win games." That has not stopped new teams joining the list of suitors interested in potentially acquiring Boozer. New Jersey is said to be looking into working out a trade with the Jazz , although the Nets' first priority ? according to a report from Yahoo Sports ? is to make a bid to pry restricted free-agent forward Glen Davis away from the Boston Celtics. Since opting into the final year of his contract, Boozer has publicly expressed his desire to play for both Chicago and Miami ? only fueling speculation as to when Utah will unload the two-time NBA All-Star and which team will land him. SIXERS COURTING EX- Jazz GUARDS: Several former Jazz point guards are being considered for a spot in Philadelphia's backcourt now that it appears Andre Miller is moving on. The 76ers ? according to the Philadelphia Daily News ? are open to bringing in Jason Hart, Brevin Knight and Carlos Arroyo, among others, to provide veteran backup point guard. The Sixers also attended a workout in Las Vegas for ex- Jazz guard Troy Hudson, who is trying to make an NBA comeback at age 33 after hip and ankle injuries forced him out of the league in 2008. PLAISTED LIKELY HEADED OVERSEAS: Former BYU forward Trent Plaisted will likely head back to Europe or another international destination again this season. Plaisted saw limited action for the Detroit Pistons in the team's summer league games at Orlando. He appeared in all five games and started three. Plaisted averaged 3.0 points and 2.8 rebounds in 11 minutes per game.
