Milwaukee rookie guard Brandon Jennings was a key reason the Bucks defeated the Pistons Saturday 96-85.
Jennings had 24 points after nearly getting a triple-double in his pro debut Friday in Philadelphia. "That's impressive," coach John Kuester said. "He's playing with a lot of confidence. He can create for himself and others. He's very athletic."
Said Pistons guard Will Bynum: "He's a good player. If you let him get a little confidence, that's how it works. You see the ball go in a few times and now he's making them. My hat goes off to him."
Jennings ignited a 12-0 third-quarter run with 10 points, using a hot jumper and penetration to bother the Pistons defensively.
BUCKS, 96, PISTONS 85: For the second consecutive evening, the Pistons played an impressive first half, only to see it go for naught with a poor performance after halftime. Milwaukee outscored the Pistons 36-14 in the third quarter, taking control of the game. Ben Gordon had 26 points for the Pistons, and Rodney Stuckey scored 13. Brandon Jennings had 24 points and Hakim Warrick scored 21 for the Bucks.
