--The Pistons' rivalry with the Indiana Pacers has waned in recent years but they'll play at least one big game this season.
Indiana will be the Pistons' opening-night opponent on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at The Palace. Their first meeting against the team that knocked them out of the Eastern Conference Finals follows shortly thereafter as they face defending champion Boston on Sunday, Nov. 9 at The Palace. They will also play at Boston 11 nights later. --The Pistons exercised their team options on second-year guards Rodney Stuckey and Arron Afflalo, extending their contracts through the 2009-10 season. The extensions were a mere formality, as both players figure prominently in their future plans. Both players could become restricted free agents the following season.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "It's going to take a lot to hurt me. I'm only 26 but I've been through it all." -- Newly-acquired C Kwame Brown, on all the criticism he's taken since he entered the league.
