Detroit Pistons Notes, Quotes 2008-09-09
--The Pistons have 14 players on the roster, one fewer than the minimum. Small forward Walter Herrmann became the 14th player when he re-signed with the club, rather than playing in Europe.

Veteran G Lindsey Hunter would be the 15th player if he opts to remain active. Otherwise, Dumars is not inclined to spend any more money by adding another player.

--G Lindsey Hunter and his business associates are being investigated by the FBI in a fraudulent real estate transaction. The deal involves a man with a modest income and a strong credit rating who was enlisted by Hunter's associates into buying a home worth more than $1 million with the intent of quickly reselling it for a high profit. Hunter's lawyer has said that his client was misled by others in his corporation.

--The Pistons have moved all their regular-season broadcasts, other than their 12 games on ABC, ESPN or TNT, to cable. The local cable affiliated FSN Detroit has purchased the rights to the remaining 70 games.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "I've been through stuff that a lot of people couldn't imagine, where all your shortcomings are played out in the media and get blown up tenfold. Those are people that don't know me or never broke bread with me. They just read captions of the newspaper to define me. If someone sits down and meets me and has the same opinion, then so be it." -- C Kwame Brown, on his reputation of being an underachiever and a pouter.
