--Head coach Flip Saunders is pleased that ex-Pistons coach Larry Brown was hired by Michael Jordan and the Charlotte Bobcats as their head coach.
"It's great," he said. "Larry and I have always gotten along really well. Larry has always been good for the game and cares about the game and cares about his players. Good coaches, whether it's him that's out (of) the game right now or whether it's (Rick) Carlisle, (Jeff) Van Gundy, whoever, it's always nice to get those people back because they add so much to the game." --The Pistons will wear a black patch on the front of their jerseys the rest of the postseason to honor longtime scout Will Robinson, who died Monday at the age of 96. Robinson spent 28 seasons in the Pistons organization as a scout and is credited with discovering Joe Dumars and Dennis Rodman. He was also the nation's first black Division I college basketball coach at Illinois State in 1970.
--The Pistons are 26-0 this season in games in which they've shot at least 50 percent from the field.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "I actually told (Sixers coach) Mo (Cheeks) that should have been a team fine, to let him come in here like that." -- Power forward/center Rasheed Wallace on Sixers center Samuel Dalembert, who got a Mohawk before Game 5.
