Detroit Pistons Notes, Quotes 2009-09-19
--The Pistons will require a deep rotation because of a taxing schedule filled with back-to-backs. They will play 23 sets of back-to-back games this season, their most since the 2002-03 campaign. Eight of the back-to-backs are on the road, seven begin on the road and conclude at home, six are home-and-away back-to-backs and just two are home-and-home back-to-backs.

--The Pistons have 14 players on the roster with guaranteed contracts, one below the league minimum. Their thinnest position is point guard, with only Rodney Stuckey and Will Bynum at that spot. But the Pistons would like to keep the final roster spot open in case of injury or trade. If one of those players has a short-term injury, Tayshaun Prince, Ben Gordon, Richard Hamilton and possibly rookie Deron Washington can fill in as the backup point guard.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "My hair may not be as long or as dark as it was when I first got here but it's still the same role." -- C Ben Wallace, now 35, on his second stint with the club.
