--Power forward Walter Herrmann had 11 points in 15 minutes Tuesday, his first double-digit outing since he was acquired from Charlotte in December. He was on the court during the second quarter when the Pistons rallied from a 21-point deficit.
--Center Cheikh Samb made his first NBA appearance since November. Playing in his third NBA game and wearing a Richard Hamilton-style protective mask, Samb contributed four points and three rebounds in 5 1/2 minutes.
--Small forward Jarvis Hayes made his first start as a Piston in place of Richard Hamilton. Hayes, who has played in every game this season, only received 10 minutes of action while scoring four points.
