AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) - The Detroit Pistons have honored late owner Bill Davidson before their game against Memphis.

Announcer John Mason on Sunday read a tribute to Davidson, who died Friday at the age of 86. The crowd then stood for a moment of silence, which was followed by an ovation for the man who bought the team in the mid-70s, won three titles with them, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Davidson also won three WNBA titles with the Detroit Shock and a Stanley Cup as owner of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Pistons wore a black stripe on the left shoulder of their jerseys.
