AUBURN HILLS -- Detroit Pistons coach Michael Curry said there was no timetable for All-Star Allen Iverson's return to the team.
Iverson, who has missed the past three games with a back injury, was scheduled for additional testing today at Georgetown University. Once the doctors at Georgetown get the results from their tests, they will share those findings with the Pistons' medical staff.
"They'll make a decision on how we go forward," Curry said.
When Iverson returns, Curry said Richard Hamilton will remain in the starting lineup and Iverson will come off the bench.
Iverson was averaging 18 points and five assists per game in 51 games with the Pistons.
The injury first flared up against Miami on Feb. 24. Iverson tried to play the following night at New Orleans, but had to leave the game after eight minutes when his back stiffened.
Iverson had a MRI exam prior to Detroit's game against Orlando on Friday, and the results came back negative.
However, there is a chance Iverson's injury might be more serious.
Curry's son, Deon, plays football at Michigan State, and suffered a back injury in which the MRI did not reveal the extent of the injury.
"Four months later, we realized after a bone scan that he had a fracture in his back," Curry said. "So you take everything that a player says when they say they're injured, seriously."
