The Answer passes Sir Charles on NBA scoring list
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) - Allen Iverson moved past Charles Barkley and into 16th place on the NBA's list of all-time scorers.

Iverson had 10 points in the first half for the Detroit Pistons against the Boston Celtics, giving him 23,759 in his career. Patrick Ewing is next on the list with about 1,000 more points.

Only Phoenix's Shaquille O'Neal has more points among active players. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is the top scorer in league history with 38,387 points.

Barkley scored 23,757 points in his Hall of Fame career, playing for Philadelphia, Phoenix and Houston.

Iverson started his career with the 76ers and was later traded to Denver, who dealt him early this season to Detroit. The 2001 MVP was picked to start in his 10th All-Star game this year.
