After being eliminated by the Detroit Pistons in each of the previous three seasons, the Bulls take a commanding 3-0 lead as Jordan scores 33 points in Game 3 at the Palace. Sweep is completed a couple days later as hated Pistons walk off.

The playoff success begins with Jordan hitting that famous jumper over Craig Ehlo at the buzzer in decisive Game 5 of first round for the upset of the Cleveland Cavaliers and his first series win.

Jordan scores 55 points for his highest scoring Finals game in Game 4 as the Bulls take a 3-1 lead against the Phoenix Suns en route to first three-peat.
5 June 3, 1992 -- THE SHRUG Jordan scores 35 points and hits six three-pointers in the first half of Game 1 of the Finals against the Portland Trail Blazers. After hitting the sixth, he shrugs his shoulders as he passes Magic Johnson sitting at broadcast table.
6 June 11, 1997 -- SICK PLAY Despite suffering flu-like symptoms after a bad room-service meal, Jordan plays 44 minutes and scores 38 points, including the game-winning three-pointer, in Game 5 of the Finals at Utah.
7 April 20, 1986 -- STOP ME IF YOU CAN
After missing most of his second season with an injury, Jordan erupts for playoff-high 63 points during a 135-131 double- overtime Game 2 loss in first-round series with eventual champion Boston Celtics.

After Jordan records his career-high 69 points in an overtime win against the Cavaliers at Chicago Stadium, the number no longer sparks bad memories for local fans.
